My wife generally wears size 8, and some of the reviews implied ordering a size up. Glad I ordered the 10 because the great fit made her smile. Great for walking the dog on a cold, windy day, or for working in the garden. Double fabric in thighs should last for years! Well tailored, makes her butt look as awesome as it is!

These pants fit and look great. They are also tough and durable and so are fantastic for field work. This is my second pair - I like them a lot!

I thought the double knees would be good for motorcycle riding. Because of the cotton/spandex combo, it feels and wears great.I find myself wearinging them everywhere. Great buy!! Wish STP had more colors. Totally happy with price and service.

Nice pants for working outside. Are thick enough to walk through thorny plants and not feel them. Also good fit with a high waist so it does not gap in the back. Excellent!

The double knees on these jeans are nice and thick. There is a cell phone-sized pocket on both thighs and it is perfect for the cell phone in one and the pocket camera in the other. The cuffs are reinforced with another layer of denim. I love the cut because I am short and long-legged and the jeans have a moderately low rise (not like low rise fashion jeans) so they don't feel like they are covering most of my torso. They allow a great freedom of movement. They are also comfortable through the thigh and seat. These are the best jeans for working outdoors and then you can come home and put on a clean pair and a nice shirt and go out for the night.

I am a recent Carhartt convert and now I am a big fan of this rugged, high quality brand! I haven't been disappointed with a purchase, yet--and I have yet to find the 'flaw' making them seconds...These are just as heavy and durable as they look--they will be great for gardening and other yard work. I think they would also be really good for hiking or camping--the extra layer would be great protection in brushy terrain or along rocky trails. Generous front pockets, single side pocket on left leg, double side pockets on the right leg--one with a slant opening plus the usual large back pockets...so plenty of room to stash stuff! I ordered my regular size in the next shorter inseam, and they fit perfectly, waist not too snug or too loose, hits just about belly button height. The seat and thighs are roomy enough for ease of movement and the lower leg opening isn't quite as wide as some other Carhartt work pants. I also have the Carhartt dungarees in the same size, and these look and feel a bit more close fitting thru the leg. I love them both! For me, the only improvement would be if they were available in a very dark blue 'unfaded' wash...
