Once I realized how much I liked the pants I ordered 2 more pairs which is how I ended up with 3. I do a certain amount of crawling around on my knees in the garden but usually protect the pants with rainpants. It was very disappointing to end up with a large tear in one knee as I have only used the pants one season. That is the only negative about the pants and I guess it means my use of them is too heavy for the fabric.. Friends ask me where I got the good looking pants. Unlike most Carhartt pants the thighs are nice and slender which I need. I bought size 10; inseam 34. I am almost 6 feet and 150 lbs. Very much appreciate the choice in inseams. Also love that the pants have been warm enough for me to not need lined pants which feel bulky and suffocating. I finally figured out why people buy cords.

Reviewed by plevee from oregon coast on Friday, February 01, 2013I'm fat just now & most of my size 8 jeans are tight. Size 8 in these won't even stay up they are so generous. STP is sold out now but I hope they'll be getting some smaller sizes because the jeans are nice.

Answer I got the size 2x32 and am 5'1" with long legs and a short torso. I can wear them with boots. I would suggest you get the longer inseam. If I remember they came in a 34. That would probably fit you fine.
