These are constructed very well. However, the fit is off. They are supposed to be a relaxed fit. These seem to have high rise and fit very close through the waist and seat. I'd return them, but for what I paid, I'll just keep them for work jeans.

Ordered 4 pair. 2 light 2 dark. the light i could get on but i tried tapered fit this time as they were out of straight leg. I did not like the fit of the tapered leg. guess I'm used to the straight leg. The dark jeans I could not get closed by about 3 to 4"s. They were the same size as the others on the tag, So must have gotten the size mixed up. So i had to return them and will order more when they get the straight leg jeans in. Easiest return ever. came with a preprinted label. just taped the box closed, put the label on and handed it to ups.. Sierra trading post is a great co. to deal with... Have bought lots of there seconds in jeans and shirts and have beed very pleased.. You can't beat the price and service...

  • Question “Do these jeans fit over pull on boots well?”

Asked on 5/20/2014 8:15:03 AM by Anonymous from colorado
    • Answer If you are asking if your can pull the jeans on and off while wearing your boots, I would answer no. But, if you asking if the leg of the jeans will pull down over the top of the boot while wearing them, I would say that they fit over my boot tops just fine.

    • Answer Hi Shelbie, The picture is an accurate representation of how the pant leg fits over a boot --slightly snug but room enough

    • Answer I don't wear boots so I really don't know.

I looked the opening on the legs of the jeans to imagine how boots would fit and I think the openings are a little tight for boots.

Of course, there is no way to know for sure unless you try wearing the jeans with boots.

I'd go to a store wearing boots and try on a pair jeans to see for yourself.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

    • Answer They will fit over boot tops, but the straight leg fits better. The tapered leg gives more of a stacked look.

    • Answer They 'look" very streamlined when on and I think if your boots are snug around your ankle and calf these jeans will fit over them. They are great looking jeans and look good wash after wash! My suggestion? Give them a try! !

    • Answer Yes!!! There is plenty of room from knee to ankle. I have western, roper, and tactical boots. The western boot go up my calf the highest and there is no problem with fit! Remember, theses are relaxed fit. I do not know about regular or slim fit.. These particular jeans get a 5 star from me! Take good care. Shelbie!

    • Answer They sit at the right height. I found that the hips sit right, but the waist feels too big for me. They aren't the same fit as years past. I'm slender, and haven't joined in the "enlargement" of America, so maybe Carhartt is making them bigger in the waist for softer bellies.
