I bought one size larger in waist and 2 inches shorter than pant size, to fit over shorts, sweats, or other light pants. Fit is as labeled. I'll be using mostly for car camping and outdoor activities when shorts or sweat pants aren't enough. They are a bit heavy duty and stiff for indoors. I imagine they will loosen up some with more use. -

These pants are slightly tight around the waist but still a decent fit, hence the 4 star. I have taken these out in the early winter and they keep me more than warm enough with a little base layer underneath. Overall I am happy with this buy.

I read the reviews here and went with 38s to be safe. I'd say these 38s fit like most jeans 36s. Actually they are a hair tighter then most 36 inch jeans. Length was true to size.
