Ordered for two people - 2 different sizes. Maybe the cut is different on these now but neither size fit! They seemed cut slimmer than usual for Carhartts and the entire body fit longer, not just the inseam, on the longer inseam bibs, resulting in the front having to be right up under his neck to fit on the 34 - 34. It ended up the 36 - 30 actually fit and the 34 - 34 bibs are being returned. Great material and construction as usual, just don't fit as expected.

I never fail to forget how small these run. I have to order like four inches bigger than I am. But once I get the right size I am always happy with the product. They wear well and last long.

Expecting this pair to last me a a minimum of 4 years. Since they are seconds, fabrication errors exist, however the pair I got only had 1 error and it didn't affect or compromise the integrity or performance of the garment. I tend to wear a 36 waist (I'm a 35 waist, 5'10", 195 lbs and my thighs are massive) and I got a 36 even though many people suggest buying the next size up. Follow the washing directions to manage shinkage to a level you desire. With only a thin layer underneath I have great movement without feeling like the loose fit will catch a nail, scrap metal or some other object which might cause injury. I'd buy another pair, but I can't see myself destroying or wearing them out anytime soon.

Bought these for warm weather use in the barn. Bought these in the small, and they did fit me even though they're "men's" bibs. Nice product. I've got the insulated bibs too and they're great. Haven't had a chance to use these yet, still waiting for warm weather, but I expect they'll be as good a product as the insulated bibs.

  • Question “do these run true to size? On the carhartt web site they say to order 4inches bigger than your current waist size and two inches shorter than your current inseam size. My son is a 36" 32" and I'm afraid to order them like the web site suggests. Just wanted input”
Asked on 12/7/2010 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer The recommendation for a 36" waist measurement of this particular model is to order a size 38 if wearing alone and a size 40 is wearing over clothes. The inseam is going to be as listed on our sizes.
Answered on 12/14/2010 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer I wear 35 x 34 jeans. As I wear the overalls over my jeans, I use 36 x 34 overalls. I'm tall and lanky. If I had much of a belly, they might be little tight. They are plenty long enough, but I don't think I'd order them 2" shorter, especially if I didn't wear them over my pants. I've bought some 34 x 34 in the past, but I only use them by themselves, and they are a little bigger than snug. HTH

    • Answer it all depends if he is going to wear anything underneath. for work i wear sweat pants and i buy my same waist size and 2" shorter than my regular inseam length
