get a size larger at the waist

I LOVE these overalls! I'm a 54 year hippy chick...lol... and I like dressing comfortable but not tacky. You know how most overalls kinda make you look bigger than you are? You look at yourself in the mirror (side view)...and it looks like you have absolutely NO WAIST or BUTT??...Well, Carhart overalls are different..They are nipped and tucked in the right places...VERY flattering....extremely comfortable....and the material is so durable. (and washes super good) I wear a size 10 in girl clothes and about 5'5ish. I ordered a 32 waist (though my true waist is around 29/30") and 32 length...coulda got away with a shorter length...but they are a perfect fit.....so gals out there,...get ya some!! You will LOVE them!! Guys out there....I'm sure you would like these too....they are true to size.

Make great work pants/bibs

I use these for work. I got them and the waist felt to small. The suspenders did not have any room for adjustment. If you order this item, make sure you order one size larger in both waist size AND length.

Good quality

I got these for my husband,he is a pipefitter,and these overalls have proved to be the best for the kind of work he does, they are tough yet comfortable and they wash well. They tend to shrink but just a little bit so you may want to get a bigger size(lenght wise),other than that these are great for construction work and we will keep getting them for years to come.

These overalls are what my husband wears about 99.9% of the time. He now numbers them: #1 being for special occasions (I'm serious here) and on down the line to about #7 being for serious/dirty work like welding, plumbing, etc (in other words, overalls about done in this life). We have purchased about 10 pairs from Sierra Trading Post so far and many, many more from retail stores before discovering your great deals. Out of all the pairs we have bought from you, this last batch (we always knew they were seconds) seemed to vary in length (no trouble to hem them up) and one pair seems smaller than size. We are appreciative to get Carhartt overalls at such great prices!

threading came undone after first wear and wash.

These look perfect with no flaws in them. They were quite tight the first day or so that I wore them and were hard to sit in but they have stretched out and are now perfect.I am a average size woman with hips and they fit me great.I also bought a pair for my husband.They are holding up in the work setting I am in which is a welding shop. I do wear a leather apron over them for added protection as they are not fire retardant though. But so far, no burn throughs. I can't believe these are seconds. Being a student on a budget, the price definatly helped me. These retail for almost twice in most other stores in my city. I'm so happy I found this site and will definatly be ordering more when the time comes. I have also told all my friends that are in the trades to check out this site.
