The previous sweatshirt from Carhartt is holding up well after about 5 years and infinite washings. It's only obvious wear is from many washings, around the neck seam. If you can accept thehigher price, even after discounting (paid $19 and I think list price is around $50-other medium weight sweatshirts retail for about $15) nothing else comes close for quality.

This is a perfect weight for chilly mornings/evenings when you have to run out to get the paper or to run to the car, or for balmy days when a heavy jacket is just too much. It washes great and wears like iron. Like all Carhartt clothes, it is nothing fancy - just basic hard-working clothes.
