“This coat is replacing an LLBean coat I had for six winters. Given that I ski, I have a ski coat that I wear when the weather is just plain too cold, but I like to have a slimmer coat for everyday wear. Also, I work with two ambulance services, and I was hoping for something durable and professional to wear on calls if I don't need anything reflective, and this fits the bill. The coat is a bit puffier than I had anticipated, and the bottom is large with no way to cinch it in, so unless I add something, it won't be favorable for skiing. The pockets on the outside do not zip, but I knew that at the time of purchase. The coat is very warm and seems to be of high quality. Carhartt is dependable...but no bottom cinch/snap adjustments is not typical of Carhartt.”
