Carhartt Nylon Jacket - Insulated (For Men)

I am very happy with this lightweight and very warm coat. It was 35 degrees and used a t-shirt only. I had to unzip the coat because I was too warm. The finish resembles the extremes coat. This coat moves when you have to reach or pick up objects. I own the duck coat and like this one a lot better. The duck is just too bulky, stiff and cumbersome for easy movement. The collar is what I like most like about this coat. In fact, I am beginning to use this coat a lot more because of it. The snap collar goes around your neck and keeps the warmth in. I wish the other Carhartt jackets came with this style. I own the extremes jacket and do not wear it because of the very tight hood. I ordered redwood color. It is more of a deep burgundy that I have received a lot of compliments on. If you are a fan of Carhartt, this jacket will not let you down. If you are husky get the size that you usually get. I got a 2XL and the chest fits very well. I would recommend a smaller size if you have a slender build. Great jacket!

Carhartt always makes a great product. This was a perfect cold-weather jacket without all the bulk. And it's good looking too. I would have paid the normal retail for this; however saved a lot more than expected on this site. No complaints here.

A very warm and durable work coat. Carhartt clothes always run large, so I ordered a size smaller than usual, and it fits fine.

I have not gotten cold or wet using this for chores or yard work in the nearly freezing rain of the Pacific Northwest. Picks up where a cotton Carhartt jacket leaves off. I will wear out before this thing does!!!

good: Excellent materials used, the outer is tough nylon, the inner (including outside pockets) is soft, comfortable and very warm. Also lightweight. I chose the redwood color & I'm very happy with it - a nice deep burgundy-like shade. No signs of bad workmanship anywhere on the jacket, probably just the fitting hat makes it "irregular". bad: The fit is too loose around the waist and out of proportion with the rest of the jacket (i.e. the height and the sleeve fit is perfect). It's fine if a couple of sweaters are worn underneath (or for wider frames). I also feel that the jacket would benefit from a waist draw chord - the nylon is stiff and sticks out at the base, especially when left unzipped. Overall, a great practical jacket at a very reasonable price. Just a little dissappointed with the extra room. 3 1/2 stars
