    I'm a huge Carhartt fan; these are perfect for hot sticky summer work. They are the lightest material I could find and make a huge difference in outside comfort. Of course, being Carhartt, they will last for years. If these are "seconds", I can't see or feel what the problem is. They do run a little long; great for boots, but catch on heels of shoes. Still, I would not go to next smaller inseam. Great price [...]They have a new customer....

    These pants work very well in hot weather. The reason they do is because of the thin nyco material. My guess is that these will last a long time becasue of the nyco. Another hit for Carhartt.

    wear these all summer when it is hot but need pants. 50/50 material is light weight and quick drying, so great as sun and bug protection while wilderness canoeing. Stone color is pretty much white, so it gets dirty fast, but no other colors were available. overall another great carharrt product, but much better summer wear than the usual canvas duck.

    These are light but tough and very comfortable as casual pants. They are fairly light and dry quickly, making them a reasonable choice for hiking and backcountry wear. Nice pockets, but I would prefer some flaps with snaps or velcro to secure contents on some of the pockets. I wear a 36" inseam and usually can't find pants long enough to fit, but these are at least an inch longer than advertised and hang a bit lower than I usually wear.
