    I wanted a pair of rip-stop pants for hiking. I did not need cargo pockets. These have been perfect for that purpose. The material is not to thick, great for warm weather hiking. The quality is what you would expect from Carhartt. I expect these to hold up to all the abuse.

    I bought these pants hoping to use them on wilderness canoe trips. The combination of poly and cotton is fast drying so a real plus. I was not at all satisfied with how light weight the pants were so I returned them. I thought they would not hold up to extended wilderness wear. For the money, I'm much better off going to [...] and buying a pair of Dickies work pants which are a poly/cotton blend and a much more substantial fabric.
