Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from North Dakota on Friday, January 16, 2015I purchased this for my son who helps in our farm/ranch operation. He was very impressed and loves his jacket. Another STP hit!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Formernewyorker1995 from Florida on Monday, December 1, 2014Bought this jacket for my son who is 6'5" and 280lbs. It looked and fit great but was just to heavy!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Tex from PA on Thursday, November 27, 2014The jacket was marked irregular. This was not clear when I ordered it. Otherwise, I like the jacket. It was a replacement for the same thing that was damaged by battery acid. Great jacket.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by D.Jay from Snowy Michigan on Saturday, November 8, 2014Not sure why this jacket is a "Factory 2nd", could not find any blemishes on it. Shipping was quick and Sierra's price was unbeatable. As far as the jacket goes, I am 6'3" 240# with wide shoulders and couldn't ask for a better fitting jacket with the style, size, and fit being spot on for an XL Tall. The jacket is heavy duty, thick, and perfect for cold weather. I think the Sherpa lining inside is the best Carhartt offers. Carhartt is one of my favorite's and always will be. I would highly recommend Carhartt Sandstone Jackson Jacket and Sierra Trading Post to anyone.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mary from Gillette, WY on Wednesday, October 29, 2014Fit was great and is a very warm jacket. Fit over coveralls just right.

Yes. I purchased it for my son who is 6'5" and it fit him well. However, he did not care for the weight of the jacket although it was very warm.
“One of the reviews said that the sleeves have elastic at the wrist. Could you describe how the sleeves are made at the wrist?”
The jacket has a elastic ribbed cuff inside the sleeve.

I find it comfortable from about 25 degrees to 50. Under 25 I like to add a layer, usually a Carhartt sweatshirt, and then it is toasty clear down in the teens. Over 50-55 degrees I am looking for something a little lighter. Just my experience with it here on our farm in WV. Love the coat.
This jacket is made with a sandstone "duck" construction which is a heavy weight, tightly woven fabric. This should really keep you nice and warm in the nasty weather.
This would be considered a heavy weight coat.
