Reviewed by JMCDVM from Bozeman, MT on Sunday, May 29, 2011An excellent tough coat. I prefer a shell type without insulation, which this is. This allows me to layer for warmth as necessary. This coat is cut slightly large which allows flexibility in layering. This has elastic cuffs and I prefer open ended sleeves in an every day rain coat/utility jacket for better air circulation and ease in viewing my wristwatch. The hood is about 2-3 times the size it needs to be so I do not use it. I also have a shorter Carhartt waterproof jacket so this longer coat is better in some foul weather conditions. The nylon fabric is heavy and tough. The waterproof finish seems to help keep the coat clean and is easy to touch up with a wet cloth. I recommend all Carhartt products and especially the waterproof styles.

Roomy enough to layer under with ample pockets for all the smaller tools you need to get the job done without running back to the truck. [$] Sierra comes through again!!!
