Carhartt Soft Shell Jacket (For Women)

Overall a good work jacket.

Nice jacket for my daughter - she can use it for Spring golf practice and stay nice and warm.

I get lots of compliments on this coat - people guess it must be from Carhartt's European line as no one has seen this style in a store. That said, the sleeves are very tight, making the jacket no good for layering over more than a single shirt. I have enjoyed wearing it while horseback riding in chilly (but not cold) weather when there's a good breeze going. It is very windproof but not warm. I've been rained on while wearing it too and nothing has come through. It's also rather stiff. But overall, I like it and expect it to last a long time.

I ordered 16 of these as a gift to a group of ranchers in eastern Wyoming -- they loved them! In the photo the material looks fleecelike, but it is a tighter fiber and takes embroidery very well.

Nice, nice, nice

This jacket has an amazing fit and is very well made as you would expect from Carhartt. However, the outside shell is very stiff, almost like a plastic feel and that makes the jacket uncomfortable to wear. I returned it due to that fact. Too bad because it was a great deal for a well-made jacket.

A beautiful soft-shell except for the sleeves. If they had been lined with a nylon type material instead of fleece, I would have kept the jacket. The existing lining causes shirt sleeves to bunch up within jacket sleeves. Was difficult to discern if the sleeves were too tight to begin with and the problem was magnified because of the material used. Too bad

Fabric seems stiff;but, I'll suspend judgment until I've worn it a few months. I bought online, relying on the brand name for quality. I expected a more traditional/heavier "Carhart" fabric weave.

working outdoors in the cold, i needed a movable coat to haul wood etc. this fits the bill perfectly!
