    This was a great vest -- for a sporty person. I'm not sporty. It was stiff by my standards -- I like fleece. But I don't want to give this vest a low rating because of my personal preference. I'm 65 and like comfort. It would be perfect for my active daughter or niece.

    Nice looking vest but I was disappointed it was too long in the torso. I thought this would fit like the jacket I got last year (Textured-Polyester Fleece Jacket) that has a similiar look, design and cut. But this vest was hitting low on the hip (I'm 5' 3") and the material was a bit stiff so all in all, it felt restrictive--like I was wearing a vest made out of cardboard. Too bad!

    Sure, it's Carhartt so it's built like a workhorse - BUT this one is a flashy thoroughbred! The shell is tightly woven to be windproof and water resistant, and the burgundy color is luscious to the eyes. The vest is tailored to a woman's body so it curves and flares exactly where it should. It's not bulky, but it IS warm. A must-have if you like attractively tailored, practical and durable vests. If I can find my size in another color, I'll buy it!

    I ordered a small (which I do 99% of the time), this was huge for a small. The fabric is a bit stiff but I couldn't tell if it would soften over time. I returned it and did not order the smaller size. I want something that will keep me toasty warm. This did not seem to be it.

    I really like this vest. It is warm and I find myself grabbing it first even on the coolest days. I do not care for the stand up collar as it is still a little stiff. I am hopeful it will soften with wash and wear.
