    I'm 5'6" and wear size 6 pants/jeans and these in M fit perfectly well. Loose enough in the hips/thighs to be comfortable, but still drapes the rear well for a little sex appeal...if that's what you like, then wear a tank top with them, otherwise a loose longer Tshirt would make them more modest.

    In Australia I think "French terry" describes a "terry towelling" [towel loop type] fabric. This fabric would be called woven stretch knit in Australia- no signs of towelling fabric.Very comfortable and breathable for wearing around the house and as pajamas. Size was just right not too baggy, or too small. Some might find the pink color not suitable for everyday wear.
