Just everyday wear. I beat up clothes and outerwear and finally decided to stop wearing my "good" leather jacket for everyday use and needed something rugged and warm. This coat fits that bill to a tee.

My girlfriend bought this for me for my birthday and I like that I can work outdoors without it restricting my arms.

I cannot say enough about this jacket. The greatest jacket ever. Granted they are stiff when you first get them."Stand in a corner by themselves stiff". But a couple times through the washer and they are fine. I have had mine since 1994 and still love it. I did construction for six years and did not have a problem. I still wear it at least every weekend in the fall and winter. If someone stole my jacket i would hunt them down. If i couldn't find them i would buy another one to love. I have every confidence that this jacket will last another 20 years. This jacket has been abused not babied.

I bought this for my son who works in the oilfields. This will help keep him warm. I loved the price. I will be buying him another one for Christmas 2010.
