My husband is a college professor and administrator nearing retirement. He owned a pair of jeans when we were married, but has not worn jeans for going on 35 years. I bought him a pair of these in his chino size and told him to lighten up. He noticed the brand and asked if I wanted him to dig a ditch, as this was the brand that he wore working construction when he attended college. He finally tried them on and wore them to a sporting event. These jeans took about 10 years off his age! As I said, they are just jeans, but sometimes that is enough.

These fit very nice and are high on waist. The bottoms fit snug with my boots to keep bugs out. For out doors now adays you need to keep tight with boots so ticks will not crawl up when out side. With high on waist shirt stays tucked in.

I wore Levi 501's for most of my teenage into adult life, then started wearing Levi 505's when I got a little older. I have tried for what seems like years now to get away from the liberal company Levi Strauss, because frankly I refuse to support or give money to a company that goes against every one of my conservative values. ANYWAY, I didn't have much luck until I found these Carhartt Traditional Fit Work Jeans approx. three years ago. I have been wearing these Jeans ever since I gave them a try. I really like the fit and just like everything else Carhartt makes they are built to hold up very well. I will say they hold up better than anything Levi's makes, but I guess I would be a bit biased.. But they do hold up just as well as levies! And you can usually find these at a much better price then those fancy pants Levi 50-whatever jeans ..lol
