2nds, barely perceptible blemishes. Sporting a dungaree fit, Carhartt's washed duck work pants are constructed with plied yarns and garment washed for softness.

Wish they had a hammer loop on both the right and left pant leg. Pants are awesome though extremely heavy duty and stand up to some suits wear and tear. Haven't noticed what it was that made these pants a second as they seem perfect to me. Certainly not ideal for summer wear as they're a bit heavy

I ordered these pants for my dad who has been a carhart fan for years now...my mom just rolls her eyes, haha. Anyway my 84 year dad looks pretty cool wearing these diggers.
Question
“I am looking for the Carhartt pants that are a little bit lighter for the upcoming summer months. Are these the lighter or the heavier Carhartt pants?”

These are heavy, tough material, designed to last a long time. Try the carpenter pants for a bit lighter...

These are pretty heavy - not quite as heavy as the traditional Carhartt work gear, but definitely not as light as the canvas.

Question
“I usually buy waist 36 inseam 32. These are washed. Should I change my size? I really never seen much shrinkage in the duck material. What is others experiences on these?”
Asked on 10/4/2011 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
Answer
I buy my size and the waist fits fine. I don't make any adjustment for them being washed. I've had at least half a dozen of the washed duck pants.

Answer
Those are my measurements too, and that's the size I buy, and the pants always fit fine. I usually wash them first, so I can't say how they feel and fit prior to washing, but beyond that I haven't noticed any shrinkage, to speak of. I think they must run pretty true to size.

I find that hese pants are true to size, although the last 3 pairs I purchased were a bit on the long side. After 2o or so washings they tend to shorten up in the length but the waist remains the same. short answer they are preshrunk.
