Reviewed by Piffka from Puget Sound on Tuesday, June 23, 2015What a great deal on these shorts. I bought one pair and he loved them so much, I came back to buy another... they'd been discounted again! These are tough work shorts and will hold up to log-splitting, construction and more. They might almost be too heavy for play although himself has hardly allowed them to go into the laundry, he loves them so much. Sized as expected. I ordered the "dark coffee" color which is a nice deep, dirt-hiding color.

Reviewed by Ranger Joshua from California on Sunday, May 31, 2015I originally ordered my waist size, 34, for these shorts and had to send them back. They were too tight. A size 36 worked a lot better. I wear a size 34 in other companies like Levis, Mountain Hardwear, Columbia, Kirkland, etc. Was not too surprised though as Carhartt sizing seems to run smaller then other companies in my experience. I am 6'2" and 190 pounds.
Great sturdy shorts. Easily carry my wallet, knife, keys, and cell phone in the right side pocket. They are not too hot when the temps are in the upper 90's and low 100's either. It can definitely hold up to everyday use, which was my intent. I know they were design to do a lot more, so these should last me a very long time. Only 4 stars because of the sizing difference I mentioned above.
