The color is quite good. The material is not too thin, but not as thick as the long duck pants. You will like the style.

What a great deal on these shorts. I bought one pair and he loved them so much, I came back to buy another... they'd been discounted again! These are tough work shorts and will hold up to log-splitting, construction and more. They might almost be too heavy for play although himself has hardly allowed them to go into the laundry, he loves them so much. Sized as expected. I ordered the "dark coffee" color which is a nice deep, dirt-hiding color.

I originally ordered my waist size, 34, for these shorts and had to send them back. They were too tight. A size 36 worked a lot better. I wear a size 34 in other companies like Levis, Mountain Hardwear, Columbia, Kirkland, etc. Was not too surprised though as Carhartt sizing seems to run smaller then other companies in my experience. I am 6'2" and 190 pounds.

Great sturdy shorts. Easily carry my wallet, knife, keys, and cell phone in the right side pocket. They are not too hot when the temps are in the upper 90's and low 100's either. It can definitely hold up to everyday use, which was my intent. I know they were design to do a lot more, so these should last me a very long time. Only 4 stars because of the sizing difference I mentioned above.

About Carhartt

If you're looking for durable, comfortable clothing and outerwear, few other brands can compete with Carhartt. Although the venerable Carhartt clothing company has become one of the most respected names in American work wear today, the brand comes from humble roots. Founded in 1889, the family-owned business started out in Detroit, Michigan with just two sewing machines and five employees. During The First World War, the company made uniforms for the US military and also manufactured work clothing for the Navy during WWII. Today, Carhartt clothing is still known for robust fabrics, top-notch construction and a great fit. From rugged Carhartt jackets and coveralls to jeans and shirts, this is one brand you can trust to deliver the real deal -- every time.
