These fit good and are well made as you expect Carhartt to be. The defect which made theses seconds is not obvious. In fact I can't find it. Run a little small in the waste. I normally wear a 34. Had to go to 35 or 36 with these. That's the one criticism I have of Carhartt - they're sizing is horribly inconsistent depending on where the piece is made.

These pants work great. Hard to find irregularities and besides, I'm working them hard.

I've had good luck with these B151 pants over the years. They fit me well. Carhaart makes dozens of models of pants. Each is cut a little different for different body shapes. I usually buy a few pairs every year, along with a few B11s to use for work. They have become my uniform pants. The lighter fabric makes them more comfortable, and they seem to last just as long as the B 11s with the heavier fabric. Sometimes these pants may have a small repaired blemish, but thats ok for work. Most of the them appear unblemished. Great all purpose pants.

  • “Are your products seconds”
Asked by Propbuilder from Ga on 11/1/2015 9:22:27 AM
    • I'm just the buyer here, not the seller. The ad says "2nds" in red, so I think they are probably seconds. :)

    • The many Carhartt purchases I have made over the years have been seconds, but I have neber fully determined what the defect was. Maybe a shade off, or an incorrect stitch. Who knows? The look and wear great!

    • as a customer I can only say that the pair I bought showed no seconds in them, if they were seconds they hid it well
Answered on 11/1/2015 10:38:45 AM by Vietvet from Massachusetts
    • Yes they are but they are high quality seconds. Sometimes its a minor stitching flaw or tag not sewn in properly. It will take a while for you to be able to find the flaw.

  • “Are these pants HRC2-FR rated?”
Asked by Mamamia from Dallas on 3/9/2015 6:50:05 AM
    • No, these pants are not FR rated.
Answered on 3/9/2015 6:59:29 AM by Eddie from Alabama
    • Not to my knowledge. This would be a better question for Google. I do know that the pants are very durable with triple stitching at the leg seams. They are not a heavy material as I would imagine a fire-rated pant would be, just a good overall work/casual pant.

    • I would go 34.

    • I would go to the 34x30 because it is better to be a little loose for comfortable feel than to tight.when you wash and dry on cotton or high heat and they will shrink alittle.

    • Good question. I will say that I ordered these Carhartts in a 34 length as that is what I normally wear. I had to return them for a 32 length. In short, they ran long in the length. The waist seems pretty dead on though. That said, I would order a 34 waist if I were you. That way they will fit even if you have to wear a belt with them. A 32 could work but could also be pretty uncomfortable for you.
That's my two cents. They are great pants. I am actually wearing mine as I write this. I look forward to owning more Carhartts!

    • Personally, I would bump up a size. I do not fully trust irregular or 2nds labeling. Just my opinion.

    • The tag says Original Dungaree Fit. My husband wears 34 waist and they fit. The cut is roomy and comfortable to work on hot days.

    • I have 3 pair of these and they all say "original dungaree fit" on the tag.
Answered on 10/4/2014 7:11:45 PM by Wyldfyrr from Virginia
    • The tag on mine say Original Fit, if your concern is that they are tight fitting these pants are not tight. I have put them through a few wash cycles and they still have good room for movement while working even in hot weather and sweating. I bought 2 pair and they are consistent with each other as far as fit.

    • no they do not say... it says dungaree fit.. and then the lot numbers. I always buy the boot cut and they seem to be just fine form my husband. He does have a large waist and they do not cut him in the gut. hope this helps

About Carhartt

If you're looking for durable, comfortable clothing and outerwear, few other brands can compete with Carhartt. Although the venerable Carhartt clothing company has become one of the most respected names in American work wear today, the brand comes from humble roots. Founded in 1889, the family-owned business started out in Detroit, Michigan with just two sewing machines and five employees. During The First World War, the company made uniforms for the US military and also manufactured work clothing for the Navy during WWII. Today, Carhartt clothing is still known for robust fabrics, top-notch construction and a great fit. From rugged Carhartt jackets and coveralls to jeans and shirts, this is one brand you can trust to deliver the real deal -- every time.
