They are OK but not much more than that. Also, they seem rather shapeless after a few hours wearing. I guess I expected a stiffer material like the original Carhartts.

Answer I would say that my pants sit right on or just above the waist. I wear an exact 36x30 and these pants hit it better than any other pant I've ever worn. It's almost a shame they call these "Work Jeans" as they fit like high quality, semi-casual slacks. Definitely no plumber's crack here.

Answer Approximately 6.5" to 7" round diameter.

Answer I would think this is hard to say as the size will vary by waist. My experience is they are only slightly tapered if at all from the knee down. They have in my view a very wide bottom opening. At least wide enough for any large work boot. The fit of these is over sized or loose in the legs.
