We ordered four pair and they each fit exactly right. Some reviewers found the shorts to be a little too long but my husband likes the length and they look nice. Light weight fabric is perfect for Florida summers. Heavy brass zippers are a nice touch and they wash/dry beautifully. Flawless seconds.

Reviewed by John from Riverside, CA on Monday, June 11, 2012A good pair of practical work shorts. I have an eye for detail, but I didn't notice any blemishes. The fabric is a little lighter and a lot softer than I was expecting after owning a pair of their other (cotton canvas or duck, I forget) shorts. They look close enough to khaki shorts for wearing on classier summer outings, but they are definitely more of the practical build. They are comfortable and well-made with big handy pockets. There's also a leg pocket that fits a smart phone and a jeans-style watch pocket to go with the usual side and hip pockets. The hip pockets do not have button closures, but they are cut so there isn't a problem with stuff falling out. Besides that, they are just typical Carhartt utility shorts. They seem pretty tough and practical.
