I bought this for my husband, who works in outdoor construction. He's only used them a couple of times so far but says they work great. Heavy, durable and all the Carhartt goodness.

Sizing: He usually wears Medium but we ordered L for both the jacket and pants, thinking that he needs extra room fo... Read More

Bought these for outside work in the rain or for fishing. They are huge and will cover what you have on with no problem. I'm going to get suspender that can clip on to them to hold them up. As they just have a draw string.

On receipt, I debated whether these were too large, but during my first day in the field with them, I had a flat tire in an inch of slush with pouring sleet. They slipped easily over my boots and jeans, and gave me the flexibility and room to work comfortably down in in the mud. Even though they feel lightweight, there were no leaks or tears even after kneeling in the gravel. They're a permanent addition to the back of my truck.

My first impression was "heavy plastic", but honestly, I have yet to wear them and actually put them to the test outdoors. But again, my first impression is that if you spend much time on your knees, they won't hold up. Right now, I would only recommend because of the Carhartt name
