I love these. So happy to find at 1/2 price. Tag stamped IRR, but I don't notice any flaws and for $50 off, I am not complaining.
These are meant for keeping warm while working outside, not to win a fashion show. I love the zip/snap leg sides. Regular is plenty long for my 5'7" height. Would r... Read More

I bought these for my daughter. When they arrived I checked them thouroughly, I could not find any visual flaw to qualify as a second. So, I am very happy with them and the price was awesome!!

I think I speak for a lot of women when I say that ordering pants (or anything that needs to fit your lower half) online is a crapshoot. I'm 4'11", 120lbs with short legs and wide hips - based on information from reviews I ordered the XS-Short and they fit perfectly.

The quilted insulation is comfortable - no scratchy seams - though the thickness it adds can be difficult to tuck into mud boots. I'd say it's worth it for the convenience of having to wear thermal pants. The drawn-in elastic waist sits snug - but not tight - on the upper waist, adding insulation value and comfort. I will say that the shoulder straps do not have a lot of extra room to adjust (only about an inch of extra strap) but because the bib comes up pretty high (to the collar bone) this hasn't been a problem for me. Maybe something to think about if you have a really long torso.

For a fraction of the cost at my local farm retail store I cannot even tell why they are considered factory seconds. I am 5'6" and normally wear a size 18, 16W or 1X and they fit me perfectly. A really, really great buy!

I got a 8/10 which is a medium because other reviewers said they are big. I put on over jeans and they were as tight as you could get in the waist to zip them. I am 5'6" and 145. I am worried they will shrink in wash and not fit at all. Other than the size they are super great and very durable.

Great fit and perfect amount of space to layer other clothing under! Very warm and definitely not disappointed! Sierra Trading Post was very quick to ship and it took less than a week to receive! I'll be buying from here more often!

    • Due to the nature of the closeout business, we often receive items in limited quantities. Therefore, popular sizes and colors can sell out quickly. Occasionally we are able to reorder a product, but closeout items are typically unable to be reordered. We suggest signing up for the My Updates as the best way to monitor incoming products. • The Cotton Duck material is very, very dense, so little (if any) shrinking occurs. Most of their jackets run a little large anyway, so I don't recommend purchasing a larger size. Your regular size should be just fine.

    • Sorry, but I am just a customer that bought the product. I don't know other Carhartt products and I don't know if products are pre-shrunk. I am 5'7" 115 lbs and have the size small. Plenty of room to still have a heavy pair of sweats or even jeans underneath, which is what I wanted. So, for me that works. So sizing depends what you are expecting to wear underneath.
I suggest for Carhartt product questions, you check the Carhartt website and/or give Carhartt a call.

    • It says wash warm tumble dry low. The pants have been known to shrink for me. I do not think the coats/jackets do if at all. Just follow the washing instructions. Hope this helps

    • I'm not sure if they are pre-shrunk but I have not had any problems with Carharts running small or shrinking too much after washing in general. I wear a size 12 shirt and the Carhartt jacket is too big. I'm sure that a medium would have fit better but I purchased it with the bib overalls and thought it would be fine if I layered under it.

About Carhartt

If you're looking for durable, comfortable clothing and outerwear, few other brands can compete with Carhartt. Although the venerable Carhartt clothing company has become one of the most respected names in American work wear today, the brand comes from humble roots. Founded in 1889, the family-owned business started out in Detroit, Michigan with just two sewing machines and five employees. During The First World War, the company made uniforms for the US military and also manufactured work clothing for the Navy during WWII. Today, Carhartt clothing is still known for robust fabrics, top-notch construction and a great fit. From rugged Carhartt jackets and coveralls to jeans and shirts, this is one brand you can trust to deliver the real deal -- every time.
