Unlike a previous reviewer I found this to have enough strength to smooth out body somewhat. I'm skinny all over except in stomach. It does help hold it in and I think the design actually disquises the paunch to some degree. I know it gives my hips (which are narrow) a slimming look. It isn't seriously binding, but my tummy is less obvious and that is a plus. It's pretty, flattering, well made and could be used as a top under jeans or a skirt.

I love the soft fabric, but it's not a suit that sucks it all in, so if you want one of those suits that acts like a girdle, this isn't it. It's a little large in the waist for me, but my waist is pretty small. It stays up without the strap, which is sometimes a problem for me, as I am tall and somewhat busty. Can't wait to wear it!

The cut is flattering and the fabric is so soft and silky you don't feel like you are in a swimsuit! However it is not your typical stiff highly elastic figure control swimsuit fabric. Therefore it does not pull in on any "trouble spots". Would also only recommend for a C cup or smaller for this reason....so only buy this suit if you are OK with your own figure!
