    This is a simple and brief review.These are good shoes, comparable to SIDI. The soles are adequately stiff; the closure system good. More importantly, the toe box is plenty wide for North American feet -- something that other Carnac shoes in the past have not had. So far, so good. Great shoe at a great price. Buy it.

    These are very comfortable biking shoes. I believe that they are men's shoes rather than unisex, but nonetheless they are working well for this woman rider. Other reviewers indicated that these shoes ran a size too small and I ordered a size up and they were WAY too big. I exchanged them for my regular size and life is good. There is even room enough to wear my orthotics in these shoes which is not always the case with biking shoes.

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    The velcro closures are longer than the hooking system. This isn't good for mt biking. The velcro closures will catch on something and come loose. Also, the ratching system is poorly designed. The leather overtab catches under the edge of the shoe. It will be difficult to adjust on the fly if you have to tinker with it. They're ok for easy riding but I'm returning them.
