“Maybe I expected too much”

“I ordered these boots partly because of the high reviewer rating. I rated them average for several reasons. The groumets at the top of the boots which hold the laces dug into the sides of my legs above the ankle because of poor design. There are no claims of waterproofness so maybe I should not be suprised that they soak up water like a sponge. Because of lug design the soles pick up and hold mud giving a great example of "caked on". The leather is of uneven quality on the two shoes. For persons who lace their boots very loosely and don't wear them in wet muddy conditions these boots will be fine. I gave mine away.”
