    I wear this boot for work outside. Road work and construction. These are great for outside in the winter. Have not yet worn them in the summer. The boot comes up above the ankle which helps keep out the snow and elements, also helps with warmth. I bought another carolina boot from sierra for the summer months that has a lower shaft. Love the boots, great buy.

    Was very excited to get shoes and give to my son. I didn't think for a second that the 11.5 3E size would be too small for him. Well the boots didn't fit at ALL. Way too small. Will be sending back and reluctant to ever buy Carolina boots again. A real downer.

    I have a high instep , so I always look for extra wide. In higher end boots, 9.5ew is usually a good fit, next time I'll wait till I see 10ew, otherwise I am very pleased with my purchase.
