Carolina Ultra Welt Work Boots - Steel-Toed (For Men)

Would wear these boots 5 days a week if I could stand it. Very uncomfortable, stiff, hot, gel cushion in heel leaks making inside sticky. There is nothing good about these boots.

Pretty comfortable, though somewhat heavy. Not quite up to Wolverines or Red Wings standard: little things - sharp edges on eyelets, etc. Still, you get 80% of those high end boots for a very good price. Overall a good value.

Very comfortable and durable boots! One day break-in and they are good to go. I was concerned about the weight of the boots when ordering, but they are so comfortable that the weight is a non-issue. They are perfect for the person on their feet all day, and provide great ankle support. Only problem was the laces lasted about 2 weeks, but this is my third pair of Carolina boots and this seems to be a common issue. After replacement with more durable laces, these boots are ready for the long hard work day!

Nice, well-made boot. Leather is very thick and durable but this means that the boots are heavy and it takes some time for them to break in. I brought my old boots to work and was glad to be able to change half way through the day for the first week. Now that they've broken in, however, I like them very much. The thick soles add more weight, but they are resilient which makes these boots an excellent choice for working on a concrete shop floor. I would recommend applying a coat of mink oil to them right out of the box to help soften the leather and speed the break-in process.

I really like the way the sole "gives" very comfortable, yet sturdy!

I've worn Red Wing shoes for many years but have been searching for a less expensive alternative that was just as comfortable. These boots fill the bill. Don't know about the durability side yet as I've only had them for a week but they are very comfortable and can be had at a great price!

Very nice boots. The sizing is a little off but overall really nice work boots.
