About Carrera

The Carrera eyewear brand was created by sporting enthusiast Wilhelm Anger in 1956. Inspired by the thrill and prestige of the Carrera Panamericana -- widely considered to be the most dangerous sports car racing event in the world at that time -- Wilhelm decided to create an eyewear company focused on designing high-performance sunglasses for elite athletes.
