Carve Designs Tarifa Skirt - A-Line (For Women)

The skirt looks a bit more flared in the photos than the actual item (at least as it sits on me). The look is more that of a straight skirt, which I hadn't expected, considering the gores. Perhaps after it's washed it will hang differently. Otherwise, a nice casual skirt that looks as though it should be very easy to care for.

Picture makes it look more waistband look closer-fitting. Pretty color and good price so I may alter it to close gap at waist.

I bought the nylon version of this skirt in Java (note others comments about nylon or corduroy both being sold in this listing). The fabric is interesting, it reminds me of swim shorts or something along those lines. It's got a light stretch to it which is nice. The fabric is a little noisy, but since it's a skirt and not pants that's not too bad. It does drape well. The description is correct that it does sit below the waist, but the hem falls just below my knees (I'm 5'7") but it's OK. (note that on the mannequin the skirt is at about waist level, it does sit much lower on the waist than that.)

I did not realize this was beach-short type fabric, very sheer--I can't quite see wearing it to teach. But I like the color and fit and will keep it possibly for biking to put on over biking shorts when my destination calls for something a little more sedate; possibly also nice for the farmer's market or over leggings. I got another one in corduroy that will work nicely for work in the fall and winter.

This was a beautiful looking skirt (before I tried it on). I purchased the smallest size (2) in brown corduroy. I love the feel of the fine wale, and the way the parts are stitched together. However, when I tried the skirt on, it could not possibly work for me. The waist is huge and altering it would be difficult as the waist is in one piece. Sadly, I had to return it.
