Is it wrong to love an item of shapewear? These arrived at the last minute before I needed them and were everything I wanted. They are only medium control, as described, but that seems to mean that I can also breathe while wearing them, so that's ok. The waist was both secure and comfortable--this is the only bottom-half shapewear I have ever owned that doesn't create more bulges than it solves at the waistline. It also ended at my waistline, instead of coming up to my bra strap and then rolling down. The length and hem treatment completely solves the issue of a line across the thigh where it ends--it comes to just below the knee, where it stayed securely and without cutting off circulation. The "hem" is actually almost the entire length of the leg--the whole portion below the line you can see in the picture is two very light layers which are completely smoothly attached a few inches below the crotch. This means no lines at all, but it's also not the coolest garment to wear. Extremely pleased with these.

Of the 2 or 3 shape wear pieces I have had for the lower half of the body, I found this CASS to work quite well for my thighs, waist & rear. The waist did not cinch me too tight, the butt was slightly lifted & my thighs were held without being strangled. I appreciated where the leg openings end below my knees but above the calf so it is not obvious by any indentations that I have shape wear on.
