Verified Buyer Reviewed by Pool-Mom from Pennsylvania on Wednesday, November 5, 2014Great on cold damp days. Blocks wind, cold &wet without being bulky or hot. good quality ankle zippers. I'm 5'10 and I wish all these companies would make them higher in the waist. These ride low on me but if you're not tall, they'll be perfect. I'll like them alot better as soon as I break in the pad.

Reviewed by Mtbcyclist from Georgia on Saturday, July 19, 2014I love the fabric, excellent chamois lining. I ordered small, as no XS was available. I may keep them. They are too big, but if I don't mind saggy legs...I wear XS in Pearl Izumi I'm 5'5", 115 lbs. I want these so may keep them anyhow.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by cool on Vashon from Washington on Thursday, May 15, 2014I usually appreciate Castelli products and I really liked the design and fabric of this cold weather tight. However, the pad is way too thick. I purchased and rode in the Castelli capri of the same design (same pad) and now I'm sorry I wore them as the thick pad was so uncomfortable. The long tights were returned!
Reviewed by biscuitwheels from Ohio on Monday, March 24, 2014I have owned this style of tights for two years and they are still going strong. They are great for chilly days and do protect against the wind.
I ordered a new pair to replace my old pair although they are still in good condition I just couldn't resist the great value. I purchased my original pair for a lot more than the price here on STP and thought they were worth every penny then and still do.
I would recommend this to any woman looking for a warmer tight and this is an excellent value.

“is this a padded biking tight? the overview isn't clear about whether there is padding but a reviewer complains about thick padding.”
These have the built in padding. Granted, I have not worn them cycling yet. It is too hot. However, they look and feel like what I like. I hear people complain about thick padding on other times. It may be a personal preference. I like a good padding. I also exchanged mine for the proper size, and they fit perfectly. I hope that helps. I thought they were a great deal.
