Castelli Split Second Cycling Jersey - Short Sleeve (For Men)

If you want a loose fitting, casual jersey, do not buy this. This isn't for you. This is for someone who wants a very tight fitting, aerodynamic jersey. That means you need to be comfortable with people seeing you wear something that is totally skin tight. That is the correct fit for the jersey. I am a very thin guy and I am constantly trying to find bike clothes that are small enough to fit me correctly. The small fits the bill in the upper body, but the lower half is still slightly loose on me. It's one of the best fitting jerseys I have worn. On the whole it's a really nice jersey. It seems to breathe pretty well for being an aero type fabric (super smooth).

I normally wear a large shirt. Ordered this jersey in extra large and it was still way too small. The extra large might fit a medium. Shirt was short - especially in front. Couldn't wear, so can't speak to quality.

I don't understand the negative reviews. This is one of my favorite jerseys. I've worn it maybe 20 times and it's held up perfectly. It's super tight, unbelievably light, breathes great, and the fit is like wearing a second skin. I am 5'9" and weigh 150# so I am on the slim side and I prefer a "pro" fit. Normally I wear a medium in Castelli but had to go all the way to an extra large in this one and it still fits tight. But it's just a great jersey and at this price it's a smokin' deal. This is a performance jersey, no doubt, but for when it's hot and you want something that's light and cool, this is it.

Many comments lament the snug fit of this jersey; well it is designed for time trials, and is more akin to a skin suit -- so it is supposed to be tight. I ordered one size larger and it fits great, can't wait to PR at the next time trial in it.

This is a nice jersey but someone really messed up the labels. I bought an XL and it looks like a small. I got it over my head but could not zip it up. For fun I had my wife try it on. She wears a ladies small. It did not even fit her. The jersey is nice but with the sizing issue I cannot recommend it.

Usually order medium in European sizes (I am fit, 5'6", 148#). Needed large because of tight fit. The jersey is short and barely covered bibs in front. Needed large!

I own many Castelli products including jerseys. This XXL was two sizes small than my usual XL. You must be very slim (<150lbs) to wear this size

Shirt was the tightest large cycling jersey that I have every tried on. The fabric is intended to be very snug, but it does not feel like it would be very durable. I would be concerned that it would hook and run very easily.

Extremely snug fit, so very aerodynamic, but so snug as to be uncomfortable even in my correct size. Too light to last very long -- mine was already torn (on seam along zipper) when it came out of the package, brand new. I returned it.
