Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. Run small but an excellent glove
Reviewed by Pete from California on Saturday, April 26, 2014
These are Castelli's moderate cold glove. They are long (and snug) on the wrist, ergonomic, and good from about 35 to 55 degrees and mild drizzle. The craftsmanship is excellent.

With Castelli, remember a "medium" person is a 5'6" 130 pound lean Italian cyclist. I'm 5'11", 170. My hands are usually between medium and large, closer to large. I take Castelli XL gloves which are snug on me.

Once you get past the sizing, you realize Castelli makes top quality products.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Tight Fit

These are smaller than expected particularly around the wrist. I find it hard to take them off. Normally I would be a large but after reading other reviews chose the XL. Still very tight. They don't provide much warmth either, and they have no padding whatsoever. Not sure how long they will last.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Thin and small

They're thinner than i thought they'd be and don't keep fingers warm below about 50F. I got the 2xl and they seem slightly too short for my fingers to fit comfortably when they're wrapped around handlebars. they're just a snug fit on me. Protection from strong wind in 45-ish temperature wasn't as good as hoped for.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Small, tiny wrist, hard to get on.

I didn't get a chance to wear these outside and see how good they are in cool, wet weather (which was my goal). They are a struggle to get on. All of my gloves are mediums, and none of them are tight. Once on these were tolerably tight, but they were nearly impossible to get on -- so much so I'm sending them back. The wrist is small and barely stretches. I also note that it has no padding, but that's not a deal breaker for me.
