Castelli Zen Due 15 Cycling Shorts (For Women)

I am an avid cyclist going on 2+ hour rides 3-4 times a week. I wanted shorts with extrta padding and these do deliver on the padding but they might be too much padding for the casual rider. I ordered a womans large and they did feel a bit snug around the waist. At 5"4 and 135 lbs this seems to be a bit under sized or too small. All in all it suits my needs

I've worn these twice now, including a 60 mile ride last weekend. They are very comfortable for long rides. I am a size large because of my weight and did not have issues with them being too tight as others did. The leg grippers were certainly not loose but not uncomfortably tight. Also, while the 'diaper effect' was felt the first time I wore them, they softened after the first wash and are fine now. I'm thinking about buying another pair or two.

I use these shorts mainly on my work commute and some recreation riding. They really are comfortable and prevent saddle fatigue

I like these shorts quite a bit.. but the waist and leg bands seem a bit tighter than necessary. The shorts fit well, but because the waist and leg bands are made of a different material it's like they dig in (and I do enough abs and squats that this shouldn't happen). It's an unflattering silhouette, but I am using them regardless.

The waist on these are soooo tight! Order a size up. Also the seam on the chamois is a bit uncomfortable. I would not recommend. Spend more and get the good ones.

The padding in the shorts is oddly designed. It's fine for sitting and riding, but akward to when walking and moving off the bike.

I bought the shorts because I also bought the knickers (same brand/same fabric). I think the shorts will take a few more wash'n'wear to break in as nicely as the knickers. The pad is different, perhaps a bit awkward until you ride in them; on long rides, the padding really held up much better...I switch shorts and wore chamois for a ride...wound up with a "blister", so I think Zen's will soon become my favorite.

So far have used this product for indoor training. May use as a base layer for winter riding. Will use for warm weather riding and endurance mountain bike races.
