I am a geotechnical engineer that needs to be onsite observing and inspecting, which implies that I have to ocassionally go out to the drilling rigs and construction job sites. My firm holds a strict safety program and recommends the use of work boots that show the label: ASTM F24 13-11 M I/75 C/75 Mt/75 EH on the boot tongue. This CAT pair do not show such a label BUT according to our Safety Officer this model complies with all safety requirements to do my job. From the comfortability standpoint, this pair is comfortable and I can stand and walk all day without even feeling them. By comparison my Asolo hiking boots feel rougher. I definitely recommend these boots to anybody that does a lot of walking and standing while under the worst conditions possible. Caveat: I haven't tested them on winter weather, so expect an update soon!

I have been looking for a pair of steel toe boots, and these were the best ones I have found! They are roomy and provide plenty of room for thick socks! Great work boots here!
