C.C. Filson Co. Merino Wool Socks - Lightweight, Mid-Calf (For Men)

I have always liked Filson gear. These are no exception. These have to be the best hunting and hiking socks I have ever bought. I will buy more in the future.

I use these socks for every day wear in the winter and for all outdoor activities.

Socks are not too hot for daily use in the winter when you want a warm & cozy sock... anticipate using them for early sping & fall hikes. Filson is a great product.

These are a good year-around weight sock for everyday use. I'd suggest them for everything except heavy backpacking. I use them for business wear, also. Yes, they look good with your wingtips, too. My foot is size 13, and the XL fits perfectly. It might be too small if your foot is much larger. I'm used to SmartWool socks which are initially great but that brand seems to slowly shrink until they are useless. So far, these are holding their shape.

These socks are thicker than most mid-weights socks. The quality is true to Filson's reputation. I should have these for a long time.

Fits well, excellent cushioning, no bunching at toes.

as work socks

This is a high-quality product that suffers from same problem that many sock manufacturers do. It might strike some as rational that someone who wears and XL or XXL item is a big person and that this person might have a wide foot and high arch. Rarely, do I find a sock that fits comfortably. Usually, after a few washings, I have to fight to pull them on. Then they tear at or near the heel. Keeps the sock business liquid, I suppose.
