These are a bit deeper than the photo makes them appear but that's all to the good. I bought them because they are the perfect size for making French Toast. Most dishes I own are too wide and you have to chase the egg mixture around to coat the bread. Using one of these, the bread gets immersed completely and quickly and its easy to concentrate the last dregs for the final piece! Seems like a small thing but for me, I've been looking for this dish for a long time for just that reason. I'd say this is a keeper.
