This boot is a true winter weather boot. It does great in the snow, has excellent traction and is comfortable to walk in all winter has to show us in MI. I have been trying to find a stylish winter booth that is also a real snow boot and this is the one. The warm shearing lining keeps my feet dry and warm. I highly recommend these boots. They come up high enough to keep out most snow.

I loved the look of these boots, however they had a big bump under the middle of my foot. I wore them a lot indoors hoping I would get used to it. It was not to be. They also looked chunkier on my foot than I wanted. I have a pair of Keen boots in a similar style and was hoping they would be more like them. I'll keep looking.
I wouldn't call it a negative heel.. it just has a higher than normal arch where other shoes have a lower arch area. I find them very comfortable but I have toe issues and feel the higher arch takes pressure off my toes. Hope this helps.. if you have never tried on Chaco's before you might want to seek out a pair (any pair of chaco shoes, i think they all have that higher arch feel ) and just try them before purchasing these.

There isn't much heel to speak of as you can see in the photo; the arch support is on the inside. Very comfortable.
