Loved the boots unfortunately STP sent me boots that were in deplorable condition. The leather on the boots they sent was dry and cracked and badly scraped up, they were obviously mishandled. They were not shipped in the manufacturer's box and the type of damage leads me to believe they were dug out of a pile. I have attached a picture of just one of the boots to give you an idea of the condition. I did return them and STP did not charge me for return shipping and did refunded me my purchase price BUT not the price of original shipping. Shoddy treatment to a loyal customer of many years.

I ordered my true size of 8.5 and the arches are painfully high. They MIGHT work if the footbed wasnt' way too narrow. This should be advertised as a Narrow boot. The the length was fine so getting a bigger size won't help. The Chaco Uma fits me perfectly in size 7.5.

I had hopes these were "the ones". The perfect hybrid of work boot functionality, cute cowboy boot style, & comfort walking shoe. No such luck. As other reviewers said, the fit is really awkward at best. Too loose in toe area, too tight across the top of foot, and back to too loose in heel. I could live with all but the heel. I even went to a cobbler to see if there was any fix for keeping my heel from slipping so badly. I was so determined to make them work. Back in the mail they go. I've wasted enough time trying to "make it work", when clearly, we just weren't meant to be.
The boot top measures about 14 1/2 to 15. Hope this helps.

I don't know the circumference, but they sit mid calf on me,(I am 5'3'') and I have really wide calves and the they work fine. Most boots don't work for me because of the wide calves.

I sent mine back but they didn't seem particularly wide.

They should be fine, mine are 15in at the widest part and the fit closely, especially with jeans/ pants tucked in, but the boots aren't tall enough (at least on me) to hit the widest part of my calf. I think they are 14in circumference and come up to right below the widest part of my calves.

I am not able to help you. I wear a size 7.5 and I ordered the 7.5 and the fit is great! I have a narrow foot... if you plan to wear a heavy sock, probably order up? I wear a cotton ankle sock over my tights so my foot doesn't slip and I wear a light-weight knee high ski sock with this boot
