Chaco Hipthong Sandals - Recycled Materials (For Men)

These are the most comfortable sandals I have owned. They provide excellent arch support.

I wear a size 8.5 shoe and ordered a size 8. They fit fine and have more support than I expected. These are very comfortable and the "extra strap" make them easy to walk around in all day. They were tight at first but after wearing them around the house for a but they started to fit like a glove.

These are hands down the best choice for sandals. I did lots of research and asking around and it payed off. The only suggestion I have is to buy a full size larger than your shoe size.

I love the feel of these chaco's.I slide them on to go to the store,soccer games,shopping.....they go with a lot so i can can wear them a lot.

They took a few days to break in. The heel cup could be squishy-er like Keens. No heel strap so no intense uphill hiking in wet conditions. Be careful on wet algaefied boat ramps and rocks. Keens are better for hardcore off road abuse. Easy to put on and easy to kick off. They are cool and comfortable and looks great. My girlfriend got hot and excited when she saw them on my feet, so that's good. She thinks my shoes are sexy.

I really wanted to like these because I love that they actually have arch support. However, each time I wear them, the straps chafe because they aren't very soft and I get blisters on the tips of my toes from the dimples in the rubber sole.

My husband hates these shoes. He wore them a couple days and said he'll never wear them again. He got a blister he still talks about. I on the other hand love my shoes in the women version. I have worn my shoes everyday since the weather turned warm and think they are the most comfortable flip flop I have ever worn. It took some time to get used to the heal sinking in the back but now I don't notice it. I get tons of compliments on my shoes. Wish hubby loved them too!

I wear an 8.5 andI ordered down like the site suggested, worked well for me. People will complain about the straps chafing, listen, it is a sport sandal people. That is going to happen. The idea is that you get the comfort of a tennis shoe and the open-breathe idea of a sandal. It didn't take long for my foot to acclimate. I love the fact that I can slide these on and be prepared to chase down my toddler or mow the yard. They clean off easily and always look nice. This is a great purchase and an exceptional price.

Ok, so I have been looking to by some Chacos for a LONG time. I have many friends who swear by them, and I believe them when they talk of Chaco quality. I was really happy about these being partially made from recycled material and after reading the good reviews I decided to go for it. Well first let me say, these are some pretty ugly sandals. I'm not into the "gladiator" look and these come across as that when worn so my first impression is that I am unhappy with the style. After wearing them quite a bit even though I dislike the look, I find them to be snug fitting as I read in the reviews so that was nice but.... These sandals hurt my feet. I am quite flat footed so you would think that something with arch support would be good, well... Not so much. The arch is unforgiving and really presses hard into the arch of my foot and is completely uncomfortable. That coupled with the sandal being a bit narrow makes me quite disappointed. Further, the fit is quite awkward. Not only is the sandal too narrow but the toe thong seems to be place too far back. I don't usually have any trouble finding a good fitting sandal (an old 13 will do), but these seem to be made for someone with long toes and short heals. In other words for the foot bed of the sandal to fit appropriately the toe thong has to be jammed really hard between my toes or my heal overhangs. I will continue to wear these with hopes I break them in but It doesn't look good.
