    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I bought these shoes for their support because I am recovering from a broken foot, but was disappointed because they were too narrow (I don't normally have that problem with any shoe) and felt a little long. They were also a little stiff. I returned them. If they had fit better I would have kept them because they felt like they would have been comfortable once broken in.

    After trying Chaco flip flops and seeing the great arch support in a flip flop, I sprung for these (at a great price to boot). They did not disappoint. Comfortable, good fit, good for those who need the arch support.

    I bought these and a pair of Canyonlands in 7.5 - the Canyonlands fit perfectly, but the Suntrails are too narrow and feel more like a size 8 in length. I knocked off a star not for the narrow fit but for the length of fit - a half size too long means the arch support is in the wrong place. The Suntrails will be perfect if you have narrow, low volume feet!

    These shoes are light, comfortable, and have phenomenal arch and foot support. For a person with arthritis and always painful walking, I can wear these without orthodics. I hiked mountains in New Zealand and in Australia for three weeks with perfect comfort. Bravo Chaco for creating happy feet.
