I have had the same pair of Chaco sandals for more than 10 years and now have sold my family on this amazing shoe. I ordered this specific pair for my son and instantly after receiving them he said he loved them. I will certainly be looking for my next pair in the near future, but it is hard to buy ... Read More

Overall this product is good but this year I had problems with straps and soles not properly glued or put together coming loose. I had to super glue it all back together and do some cutting of straps going into heel area to reconnect everything. Gluing of sole and straps were done together in manufacturing so not easy to fit after coming loose without cutting. And I was traveling in South America for 5 months and could not send the item back/did after returning for a refund which was honored- so had to improvise. I wore them a few weeks before I departed with no problems showing. I had the same kind of Chaco sandal the year before and walked a lot with no problems and thought the same this year. Otherwise, it is a good sandal and comfortable.

These sandals run slightly large, so if you are between sizes, be sure to size down. The straps are long and will accommodate a large (wide and high) foot. My foot is wide but is low and I have long tails that drag. I am probably going to send them in so that Chaco can take off the additional material that I do not need. The straps are slightly wider than my pair of regular width Chacos. The sole is thinner than my other Chacos as well. I feel that it does not offer as much support which is a bit of a bummer as I prefer to have support. If you need support, I'd recommend sticking to the regular Chaco footbed. If you don't need extra support, you would probably like these.

This is my third pair of chacos. So comfortable and great for the river and trails.

These chaco's fit well and have great grip on the sole. Unfortunately, the sole doesn't last like it should. I have had them for 2 years, and only wear them during the summer and they are shot. The sole is coming unglued in many spots on both shoes, and it is practically worn through at a couple places. For the price it is probably still worth it but to have them resoled is practically the same cost as a new pair.

    • Answer They are non-marking soles.

    • Answer Definitely! It's the same great vibram I'm sure you have come to love and trust, just like I have. I seriously love these sandles, I have even worn them fly fishing for a day. They were grippy in and out of water.

    • Answer First, I have been more comfortable in these sandals than any shoe I've ever worn and I'm a 68 year old woman. This sandal with its endless ability for adjustment is the perfect shoe for me. Plenty of support for your arches, light weight and did I mention the infinite strap adjustment which is a quick process. I've put these right in the washer and they come out looking and smelling like new. They are attractive so I'm comfortable wearing them everywhere. In answer to your original question - yes they should fit perfectly (especially considering the ability to adjust).
In short they are amazing and the people at Chaco are friendly and knowledgeable just like the great staff here at Sierra Trading.
I hope I've been of help.

    • Answer B or C, huh? Certainly I'd go for the 8. If that seems too big, then try a 7 an a half. But you might hang over? For sure, try the 8 first.
Answered on 1/18/2015 7:53:24 PM by Rob from P'ville, Ca
    • Answer I would think if you got the 8 and 1/2 it would fit. Obviously, I can't be sure.

    • Answer I have a measured size 9 foot, medium. Ordered a 9. It looked like a life raft on me! Ordered an 8, perfect fit. Go figure.
