I don't know why I keep buying shoes on line because they rarely fit, but I am so excited to finally get lucky with these great shoes! I have feet that I call duck feet: wide in the front, narrow at the heel. These shoes have plenty of room in the toe box yet are still snug enough at the heel that... Read More

I am breaking these in,but they are sturdy and comfortable. I did have to take the liners out to get the best fit.

These shoes are wide in the toe compared to typical shoes. The heel fits snugly. The insole however is very uncomfortable. I had to remove it to be able to wear the shoes. It's as height of the shoe/foot wasn't taken into consideration so if you wear them with the insole the shoe is very tight. Without the insole they fit well but then there is no cushion or support for the sole of your feet. This doesn't necessarily make them uncomfortable but I couldn't see going for a long hike in them without some soreness. I've decided to keep them since it's difficult to find wide enough shoes. Perhaps I can find an appropriate insole for them.

This is my fourth pair of this particular shoe. I have hiked many miles in them and they are perfect for me because of the wide toe box. The only annoying thing are the square laces. "Outside" magazine's article stated they rarely came untied, but they often come untied for me...I double tie them.

Needed a shoe that would enable me to keep on my feet for Spring yard work. Found it with this shoe. Excellent arch support, ,heel doesn't slide and the roomier toes section prevent cramping. Shovel work, walking behind a lawn mowers, and constant game of pick up sticks are no problems. Also like the thickness of shoe incase of a run in with a snake. Shoe is light weight considering it's bulk. Will be ordering another pair. Grandkids like the style and thought the second pair of shoe strings a great idea. The salmon came with pairs of red and beige strings.

Great shoes, cute with plenty of arch support. Very pleased! Will spend two weeks walking around Croatia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina in these bad boys!

  • “These shoes seem really comfy, but does the squeaking ever stop? ”

    • I have three pair but only one squeaks. I've only worn that pair once, so I don't know if it will stop.

    • I have mine on now, as a matter of fact...mine have never squeaked, sorry. Maybe you could exchange them for quiet ones.

    • Hahahaha! I thought I got the only squeaky pair. But I just did a test run to make sure, and I can say they are not squeaking now. I have a different model of Chaco's that have never lost their squeak, tho.

I love these shoes. I would wear them even if they squeaked.

About Chaco

There's a good reason why Chaco shoes have maintained a devoted following of adventurous souls (proudly known as Chaconians) for more than 25 years. From the incredible, arch-supporting footbed to the totally unique strap configuration, Chaco sandals fit like a glove and provide amazing support. Originally created by Mark Paigen in 1989, Chaco sandals have since evolved from a single pair of “Ultimate Sport Sandals” into an array of adventure-ready footwear products, including Chaco boots, sneakers and even clogs. Plus, to reduce waste and help loyal Chaconians get more miles out of their favorite kicks, this brand has even introduced the ReChaco Project, which allows customers to send in their worn or damaged sandals to be repaired.
