I normally wear an 8 1/2. The size chart said to round down. The 8 fit lengthwise , but was too loose. I was bummed to have to send them back because I liked the look and support.

The arch support I feel is good not great, comparable to a different brand I normally wear, but the soles are much thicker and should be much longer-lasting. Because of this though it's quite heavy, and feels rather uncomfortable after a day of walking around in them.
I might recommend this brand for someone with flat feet, but as someone who already has a naturally high arch I will keep looking.
