Ordered these Chacos for my kids at first, they didn't like them. I've got a small foot so I thought they would be great for me. The straps set fairly far back behind the toes. That leaves a large piece of the footbed under my toes without a strap. I've spent one and a half years with that front sole getting caught on things and nearly tripping me. After a walk on the Maine coast aged me a decade due to the "almost tumbles" down the cliffs, I'm done with these shoes. I don't like them at all, and they are going back. For me they are not safe.

Both of my kids have these sandals. Both kids love them. They are supportive and provide good support / traction when playing in the river. The best part is they have the words "No Whining" stamped in the sole. Funny thing is that they both refer to that when they catch each other with bad attitudes.

I bought these mainly because the buckle is kid friendly. My 4 year old can already put all his shoes on by himself other than sandals with buckles, now we have no problems. I showed him how to do this once and he does it all on his own now.

I bought a size 13 for my 8 year old daughter. They fit perfect, with a little extra toe room (I agree, they seem to run a little on the big side). They seem just as well made and durable as adult chacos. The color I bought is very gender neutral, so I expect these will be passed down to her 4 younger brothers over the next several years. :)

I was happy to find out chaco makes kids sandals. My husband and I both love their sandals for hiking, water sports etc. These came quick and fit my son great. He loves how adjustable the fit is. It takes a bit for kids to learn how the one strap system works. They last forever!
My guess is that there isn't one. I am a size 7 and bought a kids' size 5. That would lead me to believe a kids' 6 is close to a women's 8. I don't believe kids' sizes are available bigger than a 6.

A youth size 7 is equivalent to a women's 9. I wear size 8 and I order a youth 6 and it fits perfectly. Buying Chaco's in a youth size is a big plus, as they are much cheaper.

There is unfortunately no Youth size equivalent to a Women's size 9. A Men's size 7 would be an equivalent, however both Youth and Men's sizes are on a wider size D last than a women's B last- for width.

I couldn't tell you - a woman's 9 would take an adult Chaco - sorry

According to a conversion chart I googled, a big kids size 7 is as close to a women's 9 as you can get -- the size 7 is a little less than a 1/2 inch shorter than a women's size 9. I think it goes to adult sizes after a 7.

I am a perfect European size 38 (7 to 7 1/2 U.S.) and the Youth size 5 are perfect for me in both Chaco and Teva brands. You just need to be careful that when shopping STP that you are looking at Youth sizes and not Kids. For the majority of people, I believe that a Youth 6 would work for those who wear a Women's size 8 and Youth 4 would work for those who wear a Women's size 6 to 6 1/2.
