This is his first pair of Chaco's and they fit him like a glove. He loves everything about them. I love that they are durable and we won't have to replace them in three months like the last pair we got for another brand I won't mention.

I'd only ever worn Teva sandals in the past. I though sandals were all made the same way. Chaco sandals are higher quality and more comfortable. They have turned me into a regular sandal wearer rather than only wear sandals when wading in the river and suffering with blisters afterward

I recently had to replace my Chaco Z/2 sandals after three intensive years of use. They're incredibly comfy once your feet are used to them, and they hold up really, really well. In Idaho, Montana, Washington, Hawaii and more recently Minnesota they've covered hundreds of miles of trails, waded through easily a hundred miles of streams, and endured nearly daily wear as long as the snow didn't stick to the ground. The only thing I didn't like about them was the extra time to get my toe through the toe loop before running out the door.
So I replaced them with Z/1 sandals with the same outsole, minus the toe loop. I really miss the toe loop. So much more secure on your foot! These are nice, and the wider strap is a plus, but I miss the toe loop in the end. Also, I find them to be harder to adjust. The strap is limited out by the time I have it cinched down properly. With the z/2, I was in the middle of the strap.
